I use my Android for Internet access on my computer, by tethering (connecting the two devices via USB cable). I pay $71 a month for unlimited 4G everything, so I don’t see any reason to spend extra for an Internet line at home.
I just realized that one of the reasons my connection gets slow from time to time is the “location feature”, i.e., the GPS locator, constantly trying to figure out my location (which seems to be an issue where I am, anyway). I turned it off this morning and had a much more stable connection.
Just a tip for anyone else tethering or using their device as a hotspot.
